In this laboratory the students get conversant with different types of meters (voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter), AC machines (Transformer), DC machines (motor) etc. They come to know about the characteristics of Fluorescent lamp, carbon & tungsten lamp and draw their characteristics curves. The students also verify the different network theorems like thevenin's & superposition theorem etc. The lab has all the resources, which give an insight in the field of electrical engineering. It promotes students to develop keen interest towards electrical engineering.
In this laboratory the major emphasis is on the development for the computing skills using MATLAB for upcoming engineers.
MATLAB is the major tool, which is used by engineer & technocrats for developing modeling & simulating new machines & techniques.
This lab supports the practical study of all the major instruments like RTD, pressure gauge & for the measurement of Inductance, capacitance & resistance by using different electrical bridges.
The purpose of this laboratory is to make the students familiar with different types of Electrical machines, such as motor, generator, transformer etc. Students perform experiments like speed control of DC motor, open & short circuit test of single-phase transformer and they draw different characteristics curves of DC generator and DC motors etc.
The purpose of this laboratory is to make the students familiar with the design & analysis of different Electrical & Electronic Circuits through hardware & software (MATLAB/PSPICE) approaches by performing eight different experiments on Filter circuits, Transients, two-port network, different types of wave generation (periodic/non-periodic).
Microprocessor and Micro controller sessions are conducted. Microprocessor and micro controller is backbone of Electronics and Telecommunication branch.
This laboratory is used for simulation of various electrical circuits using elec-spice software. By using this software we can simulate the different electrical circuits for various network theorems like Thevenin, Norton. It is one of the advance tools for find time & frequency response of different integrated circuits.
The purpose of this laboratory is to make the students familiar with different types of Electrical machines, such as motor, generator, transformer etc. Here students perform experiment on induction motors, synchronous generators.
This laboratory is dedicated to teaching different methods of analysis, design of industrial control systems. Both hardware & software (MATLAB/PSPICE) approaches are taught. The students are accustomed with practical control systems used in Industries through eight different experiments.
Power electronics is the heart of almost all modern Power Controlled equipment like UPs, Battery Charger, Electric vehicle, Elevator, HVDC, Blower, Craner, Computer etc. Power Electronic laboratory is well equipped with number of power Electronic devices such as SCR, Triac, DiAC & its characteristics. Also with many types of Power Electronic cuts like controlled rectifier, ac voltage controller and dc chopper etc.
Power system lab deals with different types of relays, circuit breakers & other switchgears. This lab also used for analyzing fault locations & their impact in power lines. This lab is also used for finding breakdown strength of Transformer oil.
Along with Electronics field we give an exposure to allied branches like Instrumentation through practical sessions like Feedback Control Systems, Mechanical Processes and Systems.
