We are glad to share with all that students and faculty of GLBajaj got the opportunity to attend the launch of Academy of Trade Fair, Convention and Event Research & Management (ACTERM) on 17th April 2018 in India Expo Centre, Greater Noida. India Expo Centre & Mart is India’s first integrated international exhibition cum convention Centre, featuring a unique mix of state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities. ACTERM aims to satiate the growing needs of not just event management, but also forge effective ties within the space of trade fairs and international conferences. This academy has set the road map for the Trade Fair and Convention Management education and students will also get an opportunity to explore the new domain of trade fair, events and conventions which is growing bigger and bigger and possess tremendous opportunity for quality employment.

 

The launch event featured the welcome address by Shri. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Exposition Mart Ltd. and the keynote address were delivered by Shri. Sunil Sethi, President (Academics), ACTERM. Shri Sethi is also the President of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). It is a great honour for us that Head of Department; DMS- GL Bajaj also shared her views on the significance of training and education in this novice field of event management. Other eminent guests included Mr. Pinakie Kansabanik, Dean, ACTERM; Mr, Sudeep Sarcar, CEO India Expo Centre and Mr. Nilanjan Singh, Manager (HR), India Expo Centre.
