About Design Innovation Center
The Department of Mechanical Engineering at G. L. Bajaj institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida is taking an initiative to provide an industrial exposure to the engineering students which help them in understanding the concepts well. It will also help them in the development of innovative products. With the aim to increase designing skill of students, institution has signed an MOU with TATA Technologies Limited (INDIA) and Dassault Systems (France) with the trust of providing a quality of training to students. Course has been divided into several stages as:
• Basics of 2D Designing
• 3D Modeling and Simulation
• Rendering of Object
• Domain Specific Training (Tool Designing, CFD, Thermal Analysis, etc.)
• Industrial Live Projects
Our target is not making an engineer from studies; we are having vision to develop a skilled engineer which can also think beyond the books and results with the innovative engineering products.

Vision
We are having vision of bridging the gap between academic and industry approach for increasing product efficiency in industries and also to develop CAD skills among the students.

Activities to be performed
DIC will plan an annual layout for the execution of training, seminars, workshops and guest lectures for the development of students apart from the academic curriculum. Following activities will be executed with the mentioned pattern of execution
• Basic CAD Modeling for 2nd year Students (Odd Semester)
• Advanced CAD Modeling for 2nd year Students (Even Semester)
• Simulation and Rendering of Products for 3rd year students (Odd Semester)
• Domain Specific Training for 3rd year students (Even Semester)
• Live Industry Project for the 4th year
• 1 domain specific workshop every semester
• 2 guest lectures/ seminars from the panel of experts
