How to Plan for Start-up and Legal & Ethical steps

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) & G. L. Bajaj Center for Research and Incubation (GLBCRI) of G. L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida with its 5 Mentee Institutes organized an online session on “How to Plan for Start-up and Legal & Ethical steps” on 7th May at 2:45 PM – 5:00 PM. This event was funded by MIC/AICTE Ministry of Education, Govt. of India under the Mentor-Mentee Program 2021-22. The objective of this event was to create and motivate for developing the culture of I&E among the 5 Mentee institutes. The target brings the expert on IPR and Entrepreneurship to give training and guidance in the field of Legal and Ethical with the knowledge to initiate a Start-up.
The program was started with the welcome address by Dr. Rajeev Agarwal, Director, GLBITM. He emphasized to update ourselves with the current innovative environment. In this context he mentioned that such events shall be helpful for the audience. After that the event witnessed an expert talk on “Legal and Ethical steps during Start-up journey” by Dr. Kumari Lipi, IPR attorney, Advocate, Delhi High court. She explained about the legal and ethical process during the start-up journey. She kept her talk very easy and simple for the audience to understand the process of IPR and all its fundamental components. She also discussed about all parameters in detail while going for any IPR process.   
After knowing about all the steps to be followed during any start-up process, the session moved forward to know about “How to start a Start-up” by the Chief Guest Mr. Mahip Singh, Head, Innovation Hub, AKTU. In this session, he talked about the basic concepts behind identifying any problem and taking it to its final and feasible solution with the help of various practical examples seen in daily life. He emphasised on letting the idea to be matured first and then take it for any funding or pitching phase. Also, he explained various risks and solutions included in any idea generation process by giving different example.
The event was very informative and about 250 students and faculties from the 5 mentee institutes (Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology and Management, Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Krishna Engineering College and Kunwar Satyavira College of Engineering and Management) were benefitted by this online session.
The session ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Sanjay Kumar, DGM, GLBCRI. The whole event was coordinated by Dr. Shradha Gupta, the program coordinator of Mentor-Mentee prog.2021-22 from GLBITM.
