The Global Procurement Summit 2018

We are happy to announce that faculties from Department of Management Studies, GL Bajaj attended The Global Procurement Summit 2018 organized by All India Management Association, in partnership with Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India and the World Bank on February 8-9, 2018 at The Lalit Hotel, New Delhi. The Summit provided as a forum to share the learning and the success stories from different regions, which aimed to encourage the countries which are at early stages of procurement reform.
 
The Summit was attended by delegates from government offices, academics, corporates, consultants and regulators from India and abroad. The deliberation were done by the experts in the area of Procurement from international organizations covering countries like USA, European Union, UK, South Asian countries etc. Some of the names included Shri K Rajaraman, Joint Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Government of India, Mr Rajiv Aggarwal, Joint Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Mr Rajneesh Rana, GM – Business Development & Contracts, Energy Efficiency Services Limited, Sanjay Aggarwal, Director, Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, Mr. Srinivasa Raghavan, Senior Technical Director, National Informatics centre, Department of Information technology, Government of India. The keynote address was given by Shri Ajay Narayan, Secretary (Expenditure), Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, where he introduced about the increasing need and importance of global sustainable procurement practices and valedictory session was performed by Mr. Plamen Kirov, Senior Procurement Specialist, World Bank.
