Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at GL BAJAJ Institute of Technology & Management, Greater Noida was established in 2005. The department is NBA accreditated. The department offer 4 year B. Tech. Program in Mechanical Engineering.
The department provides a strong foundation for the overall growth and development of the students by enriching them with technical, analytical, quantitative, reasoning, ethical & linguistic qualities. The department has a pool of well qualified and experienced faculty having backgrounds from IIT, NIT and other nationally and internationally recognized institutes in various research areas including Computational Fluid Dynamics, FEM, Rapid prototyping, Smart materials, Combustion etc.

As a part of B.Tech. curriculum, prescribed by AICTE, the department has Thermodynamics and Applied Thermodynamics lab, Fluid Mechanic lab, Dynamics of Machines lab, CAD/CAM lab, Material Science lab, Manufacturing Science and Technology lab, Heat & Mass Transfer lab, Measurement & Metrology lab, Fluid Machinery lab, Refrigeration & Air-conditioning lab, Automobile Engineering lab, Machine Design lab, Engineering Mechanics lab, Workshop Practice lab and Drawing Hall. For bridging the gap between industry and academia, the department had initiated Excellence Centre for the development of skills among the students. With this vision, Design Innovation Centre, Centre for Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Centre for Aerodynamics, Centre for HVAC-R, Centre for Robotics & Automation and SAP Learning Hub is established.

Our students have been selected for UNESCO Delhi (Natural Science Project), Indo-German Exchange Program (Autosol) and Indo-Japan Exchange Program. Students also participated in various National Level Events such as Autodesk Design Challenge, SAE National Level Competitive Events, Go-Kart Championship and various design competition organized by IIT’s & NIT’s.
