FDP on Advanced Manufacturing Technologies

This FDP provided a suitable exposure to the participants on latest advancement on manufacturing with specific reference to mechatronics, automation and robotics. The Government of India has set a growth target for manufacturing from 16 % growth of GDP to reach 25% GDP by 2025.The national manufacturing policy and the emphasis on “Make in India” is a powerful strategy for economic development. In accordance, the Government has initiated the program for economic development.

In accordance the government has initiated the program for developing “Advanced manufacturing Technologies” and a high level expert Committee has been set up keeping the above in view. The technical institutes have also to share the responsibility and make their contribution and join hands to create the expert faculty to teach the students different technologies concerning advanced manufacturing.

The faculty members who attended this program are expected to carry out the research work as the program encompasses the wide range of manufacturing technologies that have potential to contribute enormous value to products. The faculty members who attended this program are expected to train the students to take the challenges of manufacturing practices. The summary report of this FDP is as following:
