Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) & G. L. Bajaj Center for Research and Incubation (GLBCRI) of G. L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida with its 5 Mentee Institutes organized an online session on “Validation of Innovation & converting into Start-up” on 11th June at 1:15 PM onwards. This event was funded by MIC/AICTE Ministry of Education, Govt. of India under the Mentor-Mentee Program 2021-22. The objective of this event was to educate the young innovators and entrepreneurs with the importance of Validation of Innovation during start-up journey through the life story of the successful start-up founders.

The program started with opening words by Ms. Deepti Dohare, host of the event, followed by the welcome address by Dr. Mahaveer Singh Naruka, Head-Outreach, DSW, GLBITM. Then the event proceeded with the expert talk on “The importance of validating an Innovation with some important key steps” by Mr. Bhaskar Giri Goswami, Co-founder and Chief Design Officer, Artworm Studio Pvt. Ltd. (The Hipster Café and Hipster Lifestyle). He shared many important points including emphasis on market survey of more than 1000 customers that help to understand the need and acceptability level in the market. After him the event witnessed another expert talk on “Understanding the journey of an Innovation to start-up” by Ms. Manisha Priyam, Director, Crofters Agritech Pvt. Ltd. She highlighted many key factors as per her experience in the start-up journey. She highlighted the importance of self-confidence and letting yourself free to experiment with some strict deadlines so as to self-introspect the idea and the process.

The event was very informative and about 250 students and faculties from the 5 mentee institutes (Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology and Management, Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Krishna Engineering College and Kunwar Satyavira College of Engineering and Management), along with the mentor institute, GLBITM, were benefitted by this online session.

The session ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Shradha Gupta, Convener-IIC, GLBITM and the program coordinator of Mentor-Mentee prog. 2021-22 from GLBITM.
