About the Centre for Excellence:

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at G. L. Bajaj institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida is taking an initiative to provide an industrial exposure to the engineering students which help them in understanding the concepts well. It will also help them in the development of innovative products.

With the aim to increase designing skill of students, institution has created Centre for Excellence facilities. The Centre of Excellence for design is a state of art design center that will provide access to highly advanced and expensive design software. It promotes the paper less design and makes students ready to industry. Course has been divided into several stages as:

· Basics of 2D Designing

· 3D Modeling and Simulation

· Rendering of Object

· Domain Specific Training (Tool Designing, CFD, Thermal Analysis, etc.)

· Industrial Live Projects

Our target is not making an engineer from studies; we are having vision to develop a skilled engineer which can also think beyond the books and results with the innovative engineering products.

Workshop Theme:

The entire workshop is designed to match a fine balance between teaching theory and imparting practical problem-solving skills. In this session, we will provide practical methods for incorporating ABAQUS in the classroom to enhance teaching of technical concepts. The use of ABAQUS models in class and throughout a course exposes students to a tool that is widely used in industry to design and model complex systems. At the same time, large-scale models can be used to illustrate how theoretical concepts relate to the bigger picture and how they can be applied to solve real-world problems.

Workshop Objectives: The course aims to give knowledge about ABAQUS and provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators.
