Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (#EE), @ #GLBajaj organized a 3-day workshop on skill development in the field of power sector in synchronization with National Power Training Institute-Faridabad.
The workshop was aimed to provide pragmatic knowledge to students in the field of power sector like power generation & distribution. During the first day of the workshop, which was carried out in the campus itself, the operation and working of thermal power plant and how the energy auditing of a load is done and tariff is calculated, was explained to the students.
Second day gave orientation about PV Syst software for the designing of solar power plants and peration & designing of wind power plant and standalone as well as grid connected solar photovoltaic plants.
As the knowledge is incomplete without its practical enactment, the students were taken to NPTI Faridabad Campus visit on the third day of the workshop where they were exposed to and explained about the simulators of 430MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant and 500MW thermal #powerplant.

Only 26 students were selected from across the country for this prestigious training and out of those 8 were GLBians. The GLBians who went to Germany, got cutting-edge experience in industrial and business sectors of automation and automotive domain. During 12-day hectic schedule, students also interacted with leading personalities of industries and underwent various rigorous training workshops under the banner of prestigious companies including BMW and Carbon. Along with that, the students also visited Opel Cars Manufacturing Plant, Mercedes Benz Museum and Porsche Museum. They also received certificates of participation from Indo-Euro Synchronization, German Center for Advanced Engineering & Management Studies, BMW, Auromechanika Frankfurt, Carbon, Wielander+Schill.
Vice chairman of the institute Sh. Pankaj Agarwal and Director of the institute Dr. Rajeev Agrawal motivated the students to utilize the special training for their bright career ahead. The faculty advisor of the program was Dr.V.R. Mishra(HOD,ME) and the team leader was Mohd. Noor Alam(4th year, ME) .
Participating students of GL Bajaj, Mohd. Noor Alam, Saurabh Rastogi, Ashish Nanwani,Ashish Vashishtha,Ujjwal Singh, Anuj Kumar,Alruba Khan, Akshat Singhal shared unanimously, “These educational exchange programs are important as they provide a necessary exposure and experience to the interested students to follow their dreams to excel in their lives.”
Department of MBA at GLBajaj organized a farewell party 'Adieu' for the MBA passing out Batch2016. This fun filled day offered music, dance, fun games, competitions and lots of memories. Kritika Agarwal (an alumna of GL Bajaj) was felicitated for achieving rank in #AKTU merit list.
Shilpa Nagar-80%(MBA-1st year), Bhawna Sharma-78.92%(MBA-1st year) Sangeeta-78.82 %(MBA-1st year) were bestowed with G L Bajaj Pratibha Medals. Mr.Adieu title was given to Lalit Kashyap and Shalini Singh won Ms.Adieu title. Vishvendra Singh and Amrita were declared Mr.Evening, Ms.Evening respectively.

Ashok Minda group and GBajaj Institute came together for the cause of mother Earth on 15th April,16 and tree plantation was done in the institute campus under the green initiative of Ashok Minda Group. The management, faculty and students enthusiastically participated in the event.
Jabong Turfwar final match was played between Gautam Buddha University & G.L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management. After what proved to be a highly combative game,Gautam Buddha University emerged as the Champions receiving the Jabong Turf War trophy and a cash prize of INR 25,000. Brishektu Pal from #GLBajaj Institute of Technology and Management, won the Hero of the #Tournament #Award and received a limited edition #Karizma #motorcycle signed by Dutch musician Martin Garix of the Animals fame.

Induction program-Parichay- A ride of Challenges and Opportunities for Future Professionals was organized by Department to bridge Industry-Academia gap. Center of attention of the event is to provide a platform to our recruiters, technology experts, our alumni professionals to share their experience and exploring the challenges and opportunities for future professionals. Program started with the welcome address by Dr. Rajiv Agarwal (Director, GLBITM). The program was witnessed by Ms. Manju Khatri (Director, T & P), Ms. Madhu Gaur (HOD, MCA) and all faculty/Staff member of department of MCA.
Program was divided into two sessions; First session was hold by our recruiters and industry connoisseurs from renowned companies like CSC, WIPRO, Grapecity, Espire Infolabs, by enlighten the current IT industry trends, challenges and opportunities in view of technical and personal skills. Session was honored by Mr. Amit Mittal (Sr. Manager, CSC Noida), Mr. Rahuel K Gupta, Manager (Espire Infolabs, Gurgaon), Mr Ajay Kumar (Technical Lead, Wipro) and team from Grapecity, Noida. Second session was carried forwarded by our alumni professionals or our actual brand ambassadors where Mr. Kunal Kumar (Adaan Infosoft, Batch 2006-2009), Mr. Triveni Pant(Source soft solution, Batch 2006-2009), Rahul Kumar (Wipro Technologies, Batch 2007-2010), Pradeep Kumar Sharma (Samsung, Batch 2007-2010), Akhil Chaurasia(Grapecity, Batch 2008-2011), Shalini Shivhare (Robosapiens India, Batch 2008-2011), Devendra Pratap Singh(Sofcon India Pvt Ltd, Batch 2008-2011), Ankit Mittal (Ericsson, Batch 2009-2012), Sugandha Sharma (HCL, Batch 2009-2012), Shailendra Pratap Singh (Ebix, Batch 2009-2012) interacted with students via an open discussion.
