Work Shop on National Innovation and Start-up Policy 2019

The ‘National Student and Faculty Startup policy 2019' is a guiding framework to envision an educational system oriented towards startups and entrepreneurship opportunities for student and faculties. To sensitize the students and faculty of the institute about this policy, an awareness session was organized by IIC of G L Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida. Dr. Rajeev Agrawal, President, IIC-GLBITM shared the initiatives taken by the IIC and other support and facilities related to innovation and startup ecosystem. The key points of the policy were presented by Dr. Amit Sehgal, Vice-President, IIC-GLBITM. Other IIC faculty members supported coordinating the student query and discussion session during the program. During the session, students and faculty were guided through the policy for developing entrepreneurial agenda, managing Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) ownership, technology licensing and equity sharing in Startups or enterprises. More than 300 students and faculty from various streams of engineering were benefited by this workshop. Followed by the presentation, students made group of 3-4 among themselves to discuss and ask questions to clear their doubt for policy and creating Startups or enterprises. Further roadmap of IIC and institute in to facilitate students and faculty for innovation and incubation was shared at the end of the session.
