Students Grievance Cell Policy

To address the grievances of the students/Parents as per All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) regulation 2012 clause1 of section 23 of AICTE act 1987 in technical Institutions Student Grievance Cell is formed in college. The objective of student grievance cell is to develop a harmonious educational environment in the institutions.
SCOPE OF GRIEVANCES- Grievances may be related to any of the following matters.
1. Academic Matters- Issues related to Assignment, Attendance, Marks and other examination related matters.
2. Financial Matters- Issues related to Fees, scholarships, uniform and payments.
3. Administration Matters- Issues related to Infrastructure, Basic amenities, Sanitation, Cleanness, Transport, I. D. Card and Hostel/Mess.
4. Ragging in the campus. Anti- ragging Committee looks after harassment and ragging related issues. There is Hostel Committee functioning to solve Hostel related Grievances. There is a women grievance cell to look after grievances of the girl’s students other than academics.

FORMATION OF STUDENT GRIVANCE CELL -
1. Senior Faculty Member Nominated by Management (Head)
2. Three other faculty Members Nominated by Director. (Member)
3. One administrative officer Nominated by Director . (Member)

PROCEDURE FOR REDRESSAL OF GRIVANCES -
1. Student with genuine grievance first submits complaint in writing to his/her class coordinator or Mentor or through email-[email protected] or on website- www.glbitm.org
2. In case Class coordinator / Mentor is not able to solve the grievance he/she will forward it to respective Head of Department.
3. If Grievance is not yet solved, then Head of Department will approach to the committee of Student Grievance cell.
4. The convener(DSW) of Student Grievance Cell will call a meeting of committee members regarding grievance.
5. Notice will be sent to all committee members in soft/hard copy regarding meeting.
6. The committee members are expected to deliberate upon the case. The final recommendations by the committee members shall be recorded in the form of minutes of meetings.
7. The minutes of meetings will be circulated to all members of committee for their signature.
8. The decision/ATR will be communicated to applicant at the earliest.

The Relevant provision of the regulations must be kept in mind while taking a decision on the grievance at any level.
