Research is the backbone of the Institute. The aim of the research and development cell of the institute is to promote and develop the culture in newly emerging and challenging areas of Engineering, Technology, Science, and Humanities. The cell encourages the students and faculty to undertake research in newly emerging areas including multidisciplinary fields.

This enhances the general research capability of promising technocrats by way of participating in conferences, seminars, workshops, project competitions, etc. There are many kinds of research activities are performed by the students and faculty in the institute such as publishing a research paper in (SCI/Scopus journals), Patents, funded projects, conferences, workshops and Consultancy projects, etc. The objective of our research is to focus the new ideas or innovation which can be implemented. The main focus of our research is to empower the students about innovation, research, patents, and startup activities. After knowing the knowledge they can start their own startup to generate income and give the jobs to others. Students and faculty members are encouraged to file the patents to copyright the novelty of their project. Faculty members are also encouraged and empowered to submit their innovative project proposals to various government/private sector funding agencies.

The cell also helps the faculty and students to apply in government various schemes like MSME, Atamnirbhar Bharat, UP start-up, DST, SERB, DRDO, AICTE etc. to promote the youth. The faculty and research staff is also helping the student to complete their projects. Research center of GL Bajaj has got Recognition of Scientific and Industrial Research Organizations (SIROs) by Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India.
