Two Day online Faculty Development Programme On “Cyber Security in COVID-19 Pandemic and Post Pandemic”

Two Day online Faculty Development Programme on “Cyber Security in COVID-19 Pandemic and Post Pandemic” (Research Challenges and Opportunities) was organized by Department of MCA, GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida on 16-17 May, 2020. The FDP programme received an overwhelming response with 150 participants in both the shifts and few participants were from GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida also. This FDP aims to aware all the participants from various streams about all the aspects of Cyber security in COVID-19 era and help them to overcome this pandemic situation. The FDP was started on 16 May, 2020 with a welcome addressed by Dr. Madhu Gaur.

Day One (16/05/2020) Session I:
Prof. (Dr.) Gautam Sanyal, Ex. Prof. NIT Durgapur has delivered the broad spectrum of Cyber Security. In this session participants were learned the basic need of cyber security in the current scenario as the cyber word is actively used. For example, in academic all the lectures has been taken online, all the payment has been done through e-cash, government takes the lead to use Arogya Setu App., FDP’s are arranged online etc. Sir, presented a broader perspective of cyber security Research challenges and opportunities He discussed all the types of cyber threats. He compares the tradition crime with cybercrime. Sin the winding up sir presented open research challenges in COVID-19 pandemic and motivate participant to develop epidemic model for various scenarios in current pandemic.

Day One (16/05/2020) Session II:
An informative lecture on “Cyber Crime Statistics and Open Source tools for Digital Forensics” was discussed by Dr. Umang Singh, Associate Professor ITS Ghaziabad. In this session participants were learned the all security measures to take during this cyber connected world. She told the step by step all the statistics of cybercrime and tools to trace the IP address of any suspected cyber criminal used in digital forensics.

Day Two (17/05/2020) Session I: Dr. Ihtriram Raza Khan, Jamia Hamdard, Delhi has delivered a informative lecture on “Cyber Thread and Challenges in COVID -19”. In this session participants were taught the cyber security features and all the malware, that we had faced during the use of cyber hub. He discussed some real-life cases of cybercrime.

2nd Day (17/05/2020) Session II:
Dr. Kwon Hee Choon, Professor Caroline University, Los Angeles, A.I Drone Major, School of Business Administration, Instructor Pilot, Ultra- Light Vehicle has illuminated on “New drones Techniques under COVID-19”. Dr Kwon discussed about Drone technology, govt. guidelines and various general and specific application in COVID-19 Pandemic and Post Pandemic. In this session participants were gained with the knowledge of the on uses of drones i.e., protect from thief and delivery of medicines etc.

2nd Day (17/05/2020) Session III:
Ms. Swati Meherishi, Executive Associate Editor, Springer, Ms. Kamiya Khatter, Associate Editor Springer and Ms. Priya Vyas, Associate Editor, Springer has discussed on “How to make High Impact Research”. Ms Kamiya and Ms Priya Vyas presented a video about Springer and Springer Nature and beautifully elaborated A- to Z about How to write and Publish quality research. They started from how to write title and discuss further steps and way of presenting results and research outcomes in paper for publishing. Ms Swati enthusiastically answered queries of the participants to clear each and every doubt. In this session participants were acquainted with significance of high Impact quality paper writing and publishing. The need of availability of article, visibility of abstract, that may increase the citation. Participants are asking many questions and make the session more interactive.

2nd Day (17/05/2020) Session IV:
Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Agarwal, Director, GLBITM. Gr Noida has focused on “Security in Cloud”. In this session participants were gained with the knowledge about Cloud computer architecture, infrastructure, services and Security challenges. Sir discussed many aspects of security for cloud environments. The participants learned about the security threats and security measures in cloud environment. All the personalities appreciated the department for organizing the FDP. The program was ended with vote of thanks by Dr. Madhu Gaur, Head Of The Department Master of Application.

OUTCOME: All the sessions were very much informative. The discussed areas are of great benefit for the participants as the topics match with the current working scenario. Participants were enlightened with the most widely used advance technologies during COVID-19 environment. This in turn will help in research challenges and opportunities

Contribution to Great Success Out Eminent Speakers Enlightening Presentations and encouraging speaking with our Department true team spirit and endless efforts made this first online event of great success. The FDP was successfully organized and managed by the constant efforts and always being on toes, MCA Department FDP coordinators Mr Sandeep Srivastava, Asst. Professor who Technically manage all the online sessions and superbly control the free available online platform (Google Meet/Cisco WebEx) to accommodate more than 240 Participants, Eminent Speakers and Team members, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Asst. Professor, handsomely manage 600+participants registrations and online Session Controlling. Our organizing Team members Ms. Anju Mishra and Ms. Deep Kiran Munjal Asst. Professor were wakeful throughout all the sessions in welcoming our eminent Speakers, on-time attendance tracking, assessment and quickly responding, each and every query of participants’ respectively.
