AARAMBH 2.0 presents Checkmate

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized Checkmate for the sharp minds at the dining area, gate no. 2 on 27th January 2023 from 03:10 PM to 05:00 PM. This competition was aimed at promoting the game of chess and encouraging participants to hone their minds and prove their intelligence. The tournament featured several rounds where participants had to display their skills in the game of chess. Participants were required to use strategic moves and outwit their opponents in order to win each round. The tournament also provided an opportunity for players to learn from each other, as well as gain valuable experience in competitive gaming.
The atmosphere was competitive, but also friendly and respectful as chess is known for its strict etiquette. The contest lasted for an interval of 3 hours and the participants were energetic and excited enough to participate in more and more in such chess tournaments.

The event concluded with the following winners who came up with flying colours:
