ABOUT SOCIETY
Formed in 1965, the CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path since its formative years. Today, the CSI has 69 chapters all over India, 381 student branches, and more than 100000 members including India's most famous IT industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.

VISION
Keeping in mind the interest of the IT professionals & computer users, CSI works towards, making the profession an area of choice amongst all sections of the society. The promotion of Information Technology as a profession is the top priority of CSI today. To fulfil this objective, the CSI regularly organizes conferences, conventions, lectures and gives various awards. And at the same time it also ensures that regular training and skill updating are organized for the IT professionals.

CSI also works towards a global approach, by seeking out alliances with organizations overseas who may be willing to come forward and participate in such activities. CSI also helps governments in formulating IT strategy & planning.

MISSION
The mission of CSI is to facilitate research, knowledge sharing, learning and career enhancement for all categories of IT Professionals, while simultaneously inspiring and nurturing new entrants into the industry and helping them to integrate into the IT community. The CSI is also working closely with other industry associations, government bodies and academia to ensure that the benefits of IT advancement ultimately percolate down to every single citizen of India.

To help achieve these goals, the CSI has several Special Interest Groups (SIG’s), and various initiatives pertaining to affordable computing and the spread of computer literacy.

As a member of the CSI, you will have the satisfaction of Knowing that your participation is channeled into accomplishing these noble objectives. While you gain professionally through the CSI ‘s myriad activities, you also automatically repay to society, in no small measure, the personal enrichment and glory that the IT industry has enabled for you and your family over the years.

Inauguration Ceremony
The CSI chapter was introduced in our college GL Bajaj Institute Of Technology And Management on 20th July 2018. The installation was inaugurated by the presence of our Dr. Rajeev Aggarwal (Director,GLBITM)-our chief guest , Dr. A. L. N. Rao (HOD,CSE Department) , Mr. Bhupendra Dwivedi , Dr. Sachin Yadav and other faculty members who lighted the lamp, followed by the speech of our Director on how the CSI would benefit us. Soon as the inaugural ceremony was done, a major coding event took place under the CSI, the winner to which was Pranjal Agrahri and the presidentship of the CSI chapter in our college was given to Pranjal Agrahri where Sandeep Dhaka also stood as the runner up.

ICEIT-GLBITM Student Chapter

Institution of Communication Engineers and Information Technologists (ICEIT) is a professional society (registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI 1860) for advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). ICT is a relatively young, dynamic, high impact technology touching almost all spheres of life and the society. For this Purpose ICEIT-GLBITM Student chapter was established on May 15, 2014 to assist students in formulation of ideas, creation of knowledge communities, development of techniques and technologies for better industrial productivity.
The objectives of ICEIT-GLBITM Student chapter are:
1. To facilitate the acquisition and interchange of professional knowledge among its members.
2. Dissemination and updation of ICT related knowledge through conferences, symposia, workshops, continuing education programmes etc.
3. Providing access to current industrial and design and development processes through specialized division activities.
4. ICEIT Membership provides the opportunity for students to participate in various ICEIT sponsored/supported events and share their knowledge and experience.

Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)

The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industries and other organizations. G L Bajaj has opened an ISTE student chapter to facilitate its students to avail all benefits of the ISTE membership. ISTE help the students to develop Technical and Professional skills.
ISTE student chapter was establisged in G. L. Bajaj in the year of 2016. The major objective of the ISTE are:
1. providing quality training programmes to teachers and administrators of technical institutions to update their knowledge and skills in their fields of activity.
2. to assist and contribute in the production and development of top quality professional engineers and technicians needed by the industry and other organisations.
3. providing guidance and training to students to develop better learning skills and personality.

HACKAVENGERS:
GL Bajaj Institute Of Technology And Management brings you Hack Avengers, a 3-day Technical Festival that involves a 24hrs Hackathon, Coding Combat, Treasure Hunt Game and so many brainstorming fun Battles with a vision to create a perfect innovative atmosphere for students in Greater Noida to learn, share, grow, innovate and network with like minded people.

• HACKATHON: This major event included a 24 hour hackathon conducted on a national level with over 5000 participants conducted in our college.
• MCQ's: This would be a round of multiple choice questions dealing and testing the technical knowledge of the participants on general technical skills of the present demand.
• APTITUDE TESTS: There will be various rounds of aptitude tests where the aptitude and general logical and reasoning skills will be put to test and the students will be put to test.
• TANGLED CODE: The most enjoyable part of our grammar paper was the jumbling of words, right? We are recreating it with a little coding twist. The students would have to arrange all the elements to generate a meaningful code producing a correct output.
• CODIGO: A coding competition that would take place on the Hackerrank Platform where the students need to code out the given problem statement in the given time.
• TECHNOFRENZY: The student’s technical vocabulary would be put to test in this interactive buzzer round. The team that spells right is the team to bag the prize.
• CHOOSE TO WIN: This would be a computer based round where the questions would be multiple choice and of general aptitude to all the branches.
• YOU CAN’T SEE ME: This would be the round of blind coding in which the participants will have to code out the given problem statement while the screens being turned off. The accuracy and correctness would be the basis of judgement.
• CODING COMPETITIONS: The events also include various other CODING COMPETITIONS at various platforms and the events like 2D AND 3D DESIGNING for students of Mechanical Engineering and events like these specific to each stream of the pursuing students.


To add to the fun and instil an atmosphere of the fest we had the Non-Technical Events such as:-
• QUIZ: The quiz will be based on the Marvel and Avengers Cinematic Universe, and the participants can showcase their knowledge of their favourite avengers and superhero characters.
• PUBG: In this we have competition between various teams of the map of PUBG: the mobile and PC game that has taken down the youth by a storm. The platform can be chosen by the participant and they can either take part in squad or solo.
• DOODLE: The participants would be requires to doodle out their ideas on the given topic and express their creativity.
• STARVING EXPLORER: The students would scan the campus for the clues leading to the ultimate treasure. So ride along in this venture of the treasure hunt.


• BEG BORROW STEAL: This would be the fun round where the participants would be required to show their survival where they would require to beg, borrow and even steal.
• JINGLES: The participants would be required to present their creativity through their advertising skills on the stage so as to convince and appeal the jury in every way possible.

Time 2 Hack - Creative problem Solving within a short time frame.

The core of digital India is all about empowering today’s brightest young minds to create the world of tomorrow through technology & teamwork, these were well depicted in the three-day tech fest organized by GL Bajaj recently. The Matrix Campus Club of the college that was initiated few months ago, successfully accomplished college’s first critically acclaimed flagship event – Time2Hack with its focus on the 24hr Hackathon.
This event was organized with the objective to provide platform for the students to showcase their talent with a competitive spirit and to share their experience and knowledge.
The most awaited event of the complete fest was the 24 hrs Hackathon where various teams from different colleges participated and engaged themselves in solving real time problems over the themes provided with concrete implementations. The hackathon participants
were guided and judged by Microsoft MVPs and experienced industrial & educational experts like Gaurav Arora, Nitin Pandit, Manish Kanwar, Ram Nath Rao and S. Ravi Kumar. Hackathon was described as a river of knowledge where Ideas were pouring in from several corners, and various major implementations were planned and executed.

The Head of Department, Dr. A.L.N Rao with various industrialists, MVPs and MSPs presided over the function. The three-day fest was attended by more than 1,000 students from across 20 colleges in Delhi-NCR, who participated in more than 16 different contests, panel discussion and competitions. The Panellists like Mr Vikas Kumar, Mr Kamal Rawat, Mr Manish Kanwar, Mr Gaurav Arora and Mr Ram Nath Rao discussed various
students queries over the career, technology, startups and various industrial opportunities. In the Tech Fest, students from different technical interests participated in the events like Time2Code, Time2Choose, Time2Fuse, Time2Design etc. and enjoyed the culture of coding & development. The other highlights were events like the photography contest and treasure hunt, and group events like acting, comedy, mimicry, singing and gaming.


CODE_AUCTOR 2K17

CODE_AUCTOR 2K17 is an technical event organized by the CSE Dept. of G.L.Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management to provide an opportunity to students from various colleges of NCR to showcase their talent among the top coders of NCR. The event will held on 2nd and 3rd November 2017 at G.L.Bajaj Insitute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida.
COMPETITIONS
Day 1:MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS : “This competition will involve an online MCQ Test in which the candidates will be provided 1 hour to solve 40 MCQs on an online platform.”

BLIND CODING : “This will one the most exciting event in which all the candidates will get an equal chance to win as it will involve 2 easy coding questions which will be provided to the students. They will be provided the Editors and they will have to write the code for the question but the computer screen will be turned OFF!! The student, after completing their codes will ask one of our representatives to check their codes, then the marks will be provided on the basis of errors in their code, time taken for submission. The winner will be chosen depending upon the score”

BLIND TYPING : This event will test your typing skills and accuracy. You will be provided with a sheet of paper which consist of a paragraph. You will be provided the platform to type and then your screen will be turned OFF!! Each candidate will get 2 minutes of time for typing the paragraph and then depending upon the gross speed, net speed, accuracy and mistakes score will be provided to the candidates on the basis of which the winner will be decided.

Day 2:THE MEGA CODING EVENT 2K17: This contest will create an opportunity for the candidates to establish them as a coder amongst the top coder of NCR.

ERROR DETECTION: In this event the candidates will be made to sit in the classrooms where they will be provide with a question paper consisting of 20 questions in 30 minutes. They would tick the correct answer in the provided options depending on whether there is any error on the code and if error exists they would have to tick the correct error.

BLIND TYPING : This event will test your typing skills and accuracy. You will be provided with a sheet of paper which consist of a paragraph. You will be provided the platform to type and then your screen will be turned OFF!!
