Waste to Wealth - Eco-Innovation Challenge 2025
The Department of Management Studies, GL Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management, successfully organized the club activity “Waste to Wealth – Eco-Innovation Challenge 2025” on 14 May 2025 for MBA students. The three-hour event aimed to foster innovative thinking and entrepreneurial skills by encouraging students to develop sustainable solutions for waste management.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 96 students, who worked in interdisciplinary teams to identify local waste-related problems and propose innovative, scalable business ideas. Participants presented eco-startup concepts focused on upcycling, biodegradable products, circular economy models, and technology-enabled waste segregation systems.
The ideas were evaluated by expert mentors from academia based on innovation, feasibility, impact, and entrepreneurial potential. The top three teams were recognized with certificates, goodies, and mentoring support from innovation ambassadors.
The event strongly aligned with national sustainability initiatives and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), providing students with a platform to transform environmental challenges into viable business opportunities. Overall, the challenge promoted eco-conscious innovation, teamwork, and an entrepreneurial mindset, contributing to a cleaner and greener future.
