2-Days Exposure Visit Cum Training Program

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at G. L. Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida organized the 2-days Exposure Visit Cum Training Program. This program was organized during 11th- 12th March, 2022 at G. L. Bajaj Center for Research and Incubation (GLBCRI). On first day (11th March), the program was started with an inaugural speech by Dr. Rajeev Agarwal, Director, GLBITM, Greater Noida. He welcomed all key representatives from the Mentee institutes and wished for the success of the event. The detailed schedule of the event was presented by Dr. Shradha Gupta, Program Coordinator and Convener, IIC-GLBITM. The series of expert talks was started by Ms. Rita Sen Gupta, Former Director, NIESBUD, Noida. She delivered her expert views on the “Innovation for Sustainable Development in Educational Institute.” In her talk she emphasized that one has to learn from its failure in order to achieve something unique values and contributions in innovation. She also focussed more on a divergent thinking to create an innovative mindset within institute.
The talk was followed by the expert lecture by Dr. S. P. Mishra, Founder, Vice Chancellor, DSVV Haridwar on the “Importance of Problem Identification to Problem Solving in Educational Institutes.” In his talk, he mentioned the importance of learning and emphasized that it can be done anytime, anywhere and from anyone. Also, he mentioned that for any kind of problem identification, exposure is a must aspect where sensitivity will take care of the connections and finally the innovation.
After lunch, Dr. R. R. Singh, Former Program Director, NIESBUD, Noida, came up with his views on “Importance of Entrepreneurship in Educational Institute.” He categorized entrepreneurs depending upon their capabilities and willingness along with the benefits of innovation. He emphasised on providing a free mind in the sense of economy as well as psychology. He interacted with each participant personally to identify their strong and weak points. The Day 1 ended with a note that, “When you do good things, you suffer, but when you are successful, everyone follows you including your opponents.”
The Day 2 was started with an exposure visit to all Centres of Excellence (CoE) of the GLBITM, Greater Noida. The CoEs included the iOS lab, Robotics lab, Industrial automation lab, Design innovation centre, PCB lab, Soil testing and NDT lab and the G. L. Bajaj Center for Research and Incubation (GLBCRI).
The visit was followed by the expert talk on “The Challenges of Pre and Post Incubation Process; Some Insights with Reflection and Experience” by Dr. N. P. Singh, Director, ASEED, Greater Noida. In his talk, he mentioned about the challenges to be tackled in an effective manner. He discussed that the idea must be sustainable in nature so that it could get the gain customer's trust. A prerequisite knowledge of the process is a must go for any kind of innovation.
After him, the session was taken over by Mrs. Pooja Kumar, IPR Consultant, NCR. She explained “The Process of IPR Filling and Management in Educational Institutes of India” in a very simple and understandable way. She discussed the types of patents, process for it and all other relevant details which motivated the participants to contribute effectively towards this area. She demonstrated various examples to make sure that everything is understandable and relatable.
With this, the session came to the point where the final expert talk of the program was delivered by Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Vice-President IIC-GLBITM, DGM GLBCRI, GLBITM, Greater Noida. He interacted with the participants with “Start-up Services and Policy Mechanism (NISP, ARIIA and others) Support for Students and Faculty Members.” In this session, he talked about the basics of incubation, its promoters and sponsors. Also, he discussed about the requirements of any entrepreneurs or start-ups during the various stages of the incubation. He also explained the insights for building operations plan. At the end he interacted one-to-one with all the participants to take up their doubts and solved them very effectively.
Finally, the 2-Day program came to an end with the vote of thanks by Mr. Avdhesh Tyagi, Innovation Ambassador, GLBITM, Greater Noida.
