Awareness Campaign towards COVID-19 Vaccination at Villages

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a deadly virus that continues to afflict many countries worldwide. The development of a COVID-19 vaccine to combat the disease’s spread and devastating effects is still ongoing, and as the pandemic progresses, new, more effective vaccines are likely to create. The aim of this campaign was to assess awareness about COVID-19 vaccination in villages nearby the institution.

Objective of the awareness campaign:
1. Information on the new COVID-19 vaccine: Provide prompt, simple and focused communication on the COVID-19 vaccine(s) and vaccination processes.
2. Vaccine Hesitancy: Build public confidence on the safety and efficacy of the new vaccine
3. Vaccine Eagerness: Ensure understanding and acceptance of the phased and prioritized approach to overcome concerns of the population waiting for vaccination
4. COVID Appropriate Behaviors: Maintain and sustain key preventive behaviors: wearing masks, maintaining physical distance and hand washing with soap


G L Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management, Gr Noida has organized a series of Awareness Campaign on Pandemic Covid 19 Vaccination and Mask distribution Programme in nearby villages viz Patla Khera, Kherli Hafizpur and Bilaspur. This campaign has supported by Department of Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering & Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

On Monday, 18th of January 2021, the Five faculty member and staff from GLBITM visited Patla Khera, Kherli Hafizpur and Bilaspur and around 250 peoples participated in the programme.
During the interaction, the faculty Mr Kailash Sharma (EEE) addressed the gathering about the various aspect of Covid-19 vaccination process. He covered the following points: Eligibility criteria and vaccination process, Where to access the vaccine. Mr Rohit Sahu (ME) explained about the process of registration and pre-conditions for vaccination, the post vaccination care and support.

Mr Neerpal (IT) discussed about the Origin and prevalence of the disease, Signs and symptoms of the disease, Prevention and control measures. At the end of the session the awareness leaflet, Mask, Hand Sanitizers and Immunity booster Ayurvedic kadha had been distributed to all the participants.

The main motto of these programmes was to create Covid19 vaccination awareness among the villagers and mask distribution. The programmes were quite successful. Many of the villagers actively participated in the programme and discussed upon their query.
