The Department of Information Technology has organised five days faculty development program on “Green Technologies for Environment Sustainability” from 2.6.25 to 6.6.25 in collaboration with NITTTR. The lectures were delivered by eminent experts in the areas covering Green Technology and Sustainability Engineering from India. The inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of a significant event, setting the tone for the days to follow. The FDP started in the morning at 10:00 am on 2-6-25 with faculty members have actively participated. The coordinator of FDP Prof.(Dr.) Poonam Syal delivered the inaugural keynote address and welcomed Respected director, GLBITM Prof.(Dr.) Preeti Bajaj and also addressed all participants. The torchbearer of FDP, Prof.(Dr.) Preeti Bajaj addressed the faculty members by welcoming them to the five days FDP and shared her views on this event. She explained the importance and objectives of organising this FDP. The event was attended by esteemed guests, faculty members, and participants. Around 35 faculty members from GLBITM and various colleges have actively participated and gained useful information from all the sessions. HOD -IT shared his views with faculty participants. He briefed the participants about the subject chosen for the FDP and highlighted the reason and importance. He stressed on three things for learning i.e. Awareness, Management & Technology. The participants were able to understand the need for adopting green technology and sustainable engineering practices. The participants were able to appreciate the advanced technologies that are in practice for green technology and sustainable engineering. The FDP would enable early career researchers for devising new methodologies and technologies to achieve sustainability. All the sessions received a positive response from the participants.
