Within NeGP, "mission mode" implies that projects have clearly defined objectives, scopes, and implementation timelines and milestones, as well as measurable outcomes and service levels.

NeGP comprises 31 mission mode projects (MMPs), which are further classified as state, central or integrated projects. Each state government can also define five MMPs specific to its individual needs.

The Centre for e-Governance therefore provides a unique platform for wider dissemination of awareness regarding successful e-Governance initiatives in the country as well as the roadmap for implementation of e-Governance. CeG would also undertake hosting of important Seminars/ Conferences and other similar awareness programs to reach out to the common man. The CeG is a part of the “Awareness and Communication” activity under National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) and seeks to bring the achievements under NeGP under one umbrella for the information of the citizens.
