Industrial Visit to Rise Appliances Private Ltd
On 11th June 2025, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), organized an industrial visit to Rise Appliances Pvt. Ltd. to provide students with practical exposure to industrial manufacturing processes, BIS quality standards, and automation in the electrical appliances sector. Rise Appliances, a reputed manufacturer of home and kitchen electrical appliances, offered students an in-depth understanding of design, testing, and quality assurance aligned with BIS norms. The visit included a comprehensive tour of the manufacturing unit, showcasing assembly lines, quality control labs, and product testing procedures such as insulation resistance and leakage current tests. Students interacted with R&D engineers and observed real-time applications of electrical and electronics engineering concepts, including motor control, thermal management, and automation. The visit emphasized the importance of national standards in product safety and reliability and enhanced students’ knowledge of industrial workflows, teamwork, and innovation. Overall, the experience was highly informative, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practices, and the department extended gratitude to BIS and Rise Appliances for their valuable contribution.
