Institute level idea competition themed Innovation, New Initiatives and Research

On 15th September’21, Engineers Day was celebrated through an Institute level idea competition themed “Innovation, New Initiatives and Research”. The competition was organized by Department of Electronics and communication Engineering & G.L. Bajaj Center for Research and Incubation (GLBCRI) with the coordination of all departments of GLBITM, Greater Noida. The event started with the welcome address by Dr. Satyendra Sharma (HoD, ECE) followed by the motivational talk by special invitee Dr. S.P. Mishra.

The objective and benefits of idea competition were presented by Dr. Shradha Gupta. She informed that all participants will be benefitted with mentoring and incubation support under the leadership of Dr. Sanjay Kumar (DGM, GLBCRI) at GLBCRI. The introduction of Institute, ECE department and GLBCRI were given by Dr. Kirti. Dr. Astha Sharma presented the time line of competition with number of participants at the department and institute level. A highly motivational speech was delivered by Hon’ble chief guest, Dr. Mohit Gambhir, Innovation Director, MoE’s Innovation Cell. He emphasized that the entrepreneurial progress of faculty and students are important for the ranking of institutes.

The Inspiring talk was continued and followed by the speech of Dr. Y. K. Sharma, Sr. Branch Manager, NSIC, Gautam Budd Nagar. The results of Idea competition were by announced by Mr. Avdhesh Tyagi followed by the presentation of all gold medal winners. The event ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Sanjay Kumar, DGM, GLBCRI. The top 6 ideas will be awarded with silver medals & top 21 ideas with bronze medals and entrepreneurial incubation training from GLBCRI. All the 114 participants will receive participation certificate. The G.L. Bajaj Centre for Research and Incubation (GLBCRI) is recognized by MSME and UP Startup. GLBCRI is an outreach partner of E-cell, IIT Kharagpur and training partner of Wadhwani foundation (NEN NextGen Program). GLBCRI in collaboration with Wadhwani Foundation under the scheme of NEN Next Gen Program is providing free of cost online ACTIVATE and IGNITE training program, where participants can get an opportunity to interact with International Cohort of Innovator, Entrepreneur & get certified by international jury.
