Institution Innovation Council Regional Meet

The 15th IIC regional meet was organized by MIC/AICTE for NRO/ Northern zone institutes at Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow on 29th August 2022 to celebrate the movement of innovation and entrepreneurship culture development happening in HEIs through establishment of Institution’s Innovation Councils (IICs).

G L Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida, became a part of this celebration with the two faculty members (Dr. Shradha Gupta, Convener, IIC and Ms. Deepti Dohare, Assistant Professor, Civil Engineering Department) along with three of the best innovative projects of the students (Nagendra Kumar, Raju Kumar, Gopal Saraswat and Prashant Yadav of Mechanical Engineering with Prakhar Gupta and Ankit Singh from Computer Science Department).

The event started with an Inaugural Session by dignitaries from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and AICTE followed by the Visit by Guests & Jury to IIC Poster Gallery, Grassroot Innovators & Startup Stalls. The session proceeded with the Impact Sessions on IIC and I & E Initiatives of MIC & AICTE by Dr. Dipan Sahu, Assistant Innovation Director.

The post lunch session comprised of five different session conducted in parallel including Round Table Interactive Session on Engaging Regional Innovation, Incubation, Entrepreneurship Startup Ecosystem Enablers, Track 1 Presentation on Top-Performing IIC Inst.’s, Innovation Ambassadors & Innovators/Startups, Track 2 Presentation on HEIs who have benefitted from NISP and Developed I&E Policy (Knowledge sharing session on Visualizing and Developing Action Plan for I&E Ecosystem Development in HEIs), Track 3 Knowledge sharing session on Benchmarking, Measuring I&E Ecosystem in HEIs and Impact Creation and the last Track 4 Knowledge sharing/Presentation by experts on IP Generation and Technology Transfer. After all these sessions, the event came to its last stage of Valedictory Ceremony where the jury members, speakers and winners were felicitated for their efforts and time.

Overall the event imparted a great learning experience to the faculty members as well as the students of GLBITM, which motivated them to do better in future.
