National Education Day

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida in collaboration with Institution’s Innovation Counsil (IIC) GLBITM celebrated “National Education Day” on 11th November, 2025
National Education Day is observed in India every year on November 11 to mark the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of independent India. The day pays tribute to his remarkable contributions toward building the nation’s education system and promoting the value of knowledge and learning. Educational institutions across the country—schools, colleges, and universities—organize seminars, essay writing competitions, and debates to emphasize the pivotal role of education in national progress. The celebration also underscores the importance of inclusive and equitable education for all, echoing Maulana Azad’s vision of a forward-thinking and enlightened India.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Satyendra Sharma (Professor & HOD, ECE), who enlightened the audience about the life and legacy of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He highlighted Azad’s unwavering belief in inclusive education, stressing that every child—irrespective of gender, caste, or religion—deserves the opportunity to learn and grow. Dr. Sharma quoted Azad’s inspiring words: “Education imparted by heart can bring revolution in the society.” These words serve as a powerful reminder of the transformative role of education in shaping not only individuals but the destiny of a nation.
