National Entrepreneurship Day

National Entrepreneurship Day, observed on 9th November, originated as an initiative to promote entrepreneurial awareness and foster a culture of innovation among the youth of India. The day was introduced to encourage aspiring innovators to explore start-up pathways and to highlight the government’s growing focus on entrepreneurship as a driver of economic progress. It underscores the importance of creativity, problem-solving, and leadership in shaping new business ideas that can contribute to national development. The day also emphasizes the crucial role entrepreneurs play in generating employment, boosting productivity, and advancing technology. Through seminars, workshops, and awareness programs, educational institutions and innovation councils use this occasion to inspire students to think independently and pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions. Overall, National Entrepreneurship Day serves as a reminder that entrepreneurship is essential for building a self-reliant and progressive nation.
The session featured Ms. Sonal Gandhi, Assistant Professor and IIC Member (CSE Department), as the Guest Speaker. She delivered an insightful talk on the essentials of entrepreneurship, the mindset required for innovation, and the opportunities available for young engineers to convert their ideas into real-world solutions. She also discussed the role of institutional support systems such as the IIC, start-up cells, and incubation centers. The event aimed to promote entrepreneurial thinking among students and highlight the significance of innovation, creativity, and problem-solving in today’s dynamic technological landscape. A total of 60 students from various departments actively participated in the program. Students showed enthusiastic participation through interactive discussions and questions, making the session lively and engaging. The event successfully motivated students to explore entrepreneurial pathways and consider start-ups as a viable career option.
