Robotics 2 Rural - Innovative Teaching and Research Approaches

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida, organized an expert lecture on "Robotics 2 Rural: Innovative Teaching and Research Approaches” on 12 Dec 2022 from 03:00 PM to 04:30 PM. The expert speaker of this talk was Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Saha (Professor – IIT Delhi and Project Director IHFC- IIT Delhi). The session started with a welcome speech by Dr. Manas Kumar Mishra (Director- G. L. Bajaj Institute). The students of ME, CSE and MBA attended the expert talk.

Dr. Saha briefed about the methodologies/software and algorithms that are used to simply the understanding of engineering concepts. He further elaborated the approach of applying modern engineering knowledge for the solution of rural and other social problems. Dr. Saha presented many case studies that were conducted under his supervision in IIT Delhi in the fields of Robotics, Automation, Drone and Rural technologies.

After the expert talk, Dr. Saha visited the Advanced Robotics Centre of G.L. Bajaj and interacted with the students who are planning to set their startup in the field of Robotics. Dr. Saha appreciated the facilites and work done by the students in these facilities.
