Sharing Happiness

The MCA Department organized a heartwarming initiative, “Sharing Happiness”, on 28th October 2024, with the aim of spreading joy and support to underprivileged communities during the festive season of Diwali. The event was a reflection of the department’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, encouraging students to experience the true spirit of giving. Under this initiative, students and faculty actively contributed by collecting and distributing essential items, including food supplies such as rice, pulses, and biscuits, clothes to provide warmth and comfort, as well as daily necessities like toiletries and hygiene products. The items were personally handed over to the beneficiaries, allowing students to interact directly with them, understand their challenges, and foster a sense of empathy and compassion.
This event was successfully organized under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Madhu Gaur Sharma, HOD, MCA Department, whose proactive initiative and encouragement inspired both students and faculty members to participate wholeheartedly. Her support and leadership were instrumental in making the event impactful and meaningful. The participation of students was enthusiastic and self-driven; they helped in organizing, packing, and distributing the items, while also ensuring that the event ran smoothly. Through this initiative, students not only provided material assistance but also brought smiles, joy, and hope to many families, experiencing firsthand the value of service and social responsibility.
The Diwali “Sharing Happiness” initiative was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on both the beneficiaries and the students. It reinforced the importance of giving back to society, nurtured empathy and social awareness, and demonstrated the spirit of community service that the MCA Department seeks to instill in its students. The event was a beautiful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in the lives of others, making the festival of Diwali truly meaningful.
