TECH LOCKDOWN – From Tambola to Triumph, organized by the Anvitha Club at GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, was an engaging three-round technical event aimed at promoting learning, teamwork, and strategic thinking among students. The event provided an interactive platform for participants to test their technical knowledge in a fun and competitive environment.
Event Flow & Activities
The event began with Round 1 – Tech Tambola, a creative variation of the traditional Tambola game where technical clues were given instead of numbers. Participants identified the correct technical terms and marked them on their sheets. This round tested students’ quick thinking and basic technical knowledge while creating an energetic atmosphere.
The second round, Tech Grid Takeover, focused on teamwork. Students formed row-based teams and competed on a 5 × 5 technical grid containing different technical categories. Teams selected questions from the grid and earned points for correct answers. After a competitive session, the top four teams advanced to the final round.
The final round, Tech Auction War, added a strategic element to the competition. The four finalist teams were given points and had to bid to answer technical questions. Correct answers earned points, while incorrect answers resulted in deductions, making strategy and confidence key to winning.
Participation & Outcome
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across departments. It successfully encouraged technical learning, teamwork, and problem-solving in an enjoyable format. The winners were recognized for their performance, and all participants were appreciated for their active involvement in the event.
