Blind Coding
The event “Blind Coding” was organized under the Purple Modern Coding Bootcamp initiative with the objective of strengthening students’ concentration, coding accuracy, and logical thinking abilities. The unique concept of coding without visual assistance pushed participants to depend entirely on their knowledge of syntax, logical flow, and problem-solving skills, rather than the usual visual cues provided by an editor.
This activity aimed to build confidence among students, improve their typing precision, and sharpen their ability to write error-free code purely from memory. It also encouraged them to trust their programming fundamentals and develop a disciplined approach to coding under pressure.
Event Highlights:
• Participants were required to write and debug code without viewing the screen (blindfolded or with the monitor turned off).
• The competition tested their memorization, syntax knowledge, and problem-solving under pressure.
• Faculty members and student coordinators ensured smooth management and fair evaluation.
• The event maintained a fun and competitive environment, motivating students to push their limits.
