However, providing access to the quality healthcare services to every corner of the society has always been a challenge for every country. The insufficient number of medial experts and the rising cost of medical services have intensified the challenge all over the world. But now Remote monitoring system has emerged as the solution to this problem. Healthcare services have recently witnessed several applications of remote monitoring systems such as m- health in terms of diagnosis, telemedicine, pre and post hospital care, etc. Hence this conference is very timely and provides a common interactive platform for experts from Engineering & Medical science. I hope MedCom, 2014 will not only boost requisite R & D but also come up with pragmatic recommendations in this integrated domain. I feel the eminent delegates from all over the nation, and abroad will definitely make this conference a great learning experience for all of us.
