Introduction
The Department of CSIT at GL Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management has launched the Wipro-Oracle Centre of Excellence (CoE) as part of its academic–industry collaboration initiative. This CoE aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing students with hands-on training in Oracle technologies (SQL, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, and Cloud Integration), enabling them to become industry-ready in enterprise application development and deployment.
Objectives of the CoE
• Wipro COE Alignment: Curriculum closely aligned with Wipro standards.
• Hands-on Oracle Expertise: Training in Oracle DB, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, Oracle Fusion, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
• Project-Based Learning: Focus on real-world projects and case studies.
• Employability Enhancement: Mock interviews, assessments, hackathons, and resume workshops.
• Research & Innovation: Exposure to innovation challenges and industry interaction.
Facilities and Training Components
• Classroom Training: Oracle Database concepts, SQL & PL/SQL fundamentals, advanced queries, triggers, packages.
• Hands-On Labs: Query writing, debugging, optimization, Oracle Forms & Reports development.
• Industry-Oriented Projects: Library Management System, Online Retail Store DB, HR Management System.
• Capstone Projects: Real-world enterprise applications using Oracle Fusion & OIC.
• Assessments & Certification: Weekly quizzes, internal evaluation, and Wipro CoE certification.
• Employability Support: Resume-building workshops, mock interviews, and placement readiness.
