Workshop on Fundamentals of 5G, IP, and Cloud Native
The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a one-day workshop on “Fundamentals of 5G, Fundamentals of IP, and Cloud Native Fundamentals” on 21st August 2025.
The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Garima Mahendru, Telecom Trainer at Capgemini, who shared her rich industrial and academic expertise with the participants.
The session covered:
• 5G Fundamentals – evolution of mobile communication, 5G architecture, spectrum, latency requirements, and real-world applications.
• IP Fundamentals – basics of Internet Protocol, addressing schemes, and its significance in modern telecom networks.
• Cloud Native Fundamentals – introduction to cloud-native concepts, virtualization, containerization, and their role in 5G networks and future telecom applications.
The workshop provided students with valuable insights into emerging technologies shaping the telecom industry. The interactive discussions and case studies enhanced conceptual clarity and helped participants understand the practical applications of these technologies in Industry 4.0.
